I waited 2 hrs for this car and then they tried to get rid of a bunch of mini vans. I decided to bring it back early. My initial bill was $475.60 and when I brought it back they charged me $116.62 for one days rental...exactly 24 hrs.They charged me $4/gal and when I picked it up they said I would pay $2.20/gal. MY FRIEND AND I STOOD IN THE LINE FOR OVER 30 MINUTES WATCHING YOUR STAFF MEMBERS ENGAGE IN SOCIAL CONVERSATIONS NOT WITH THEIR GUEST BUT LEAVING THEIR GUEST STANDING THERE AND GOING OVER TO OTHER COUNTERS TO MAKE SMALL TALK. After waiting over 90 minutes in line at the SFO airport, finally reached agent. Atone, agents name, was curt, rude, and in so many words, let you know he did not want to be there. Fox over booked by 60 cars. Instead of a compact we had a choice of minivan or pay $10 dollars a day additional for convertible. At Denver airport rented through Expedia at Fox Car Rental - they charged the agreed rate ($139) plus an additional $289 they said was a deposit that would be credited back when I returned the car. Fox locations are typically off site (Las Vegas-Ft. Lauderdale), meaning you don't have to pay the giant fee and tax load as per rentals on the airport itself, taxes and fees can be MORE than the total base car rental. Worst Car rental experience ever!!! We waited over an hour in line to get our car...when we arrived there was only one agent at the desk to help the customers. I got a mail from VMS (Violation Management Services), it says I'll be charged $40 to the credit card I was using to rent the car during this Thanksgiving holidays. I was wrongly driving on toll road 73 at Irvine, CA for about less than 1 mile at morning of Thanksgiving day, it is the nearest exit when I found out I was on the toll road. Have been trying to reach Customer Service for three days and get ring no answer. Don't, don't , don't rent from FOX. You will be sorry! I was honest and reported a damage to the upholstery I had done. I reported this to my insurance Company and they paid for the damage less my deductible. FOX then referred my case to a collection agency that requested a $100 administrative fee. What a rip off!!... Read more
